Do not neglect gathering with one another (Heb 10:25).
Do not give excuses for not coming to church services or say that we can just worship God on our own at home, thereby isolating ourselves.
Gathering together gives us the chance to be edified and encouraged by one another, while also providing us the opportunity to show love and serve each other.
We cannot say we love God whom we cannot see if we do not love the brothers and sisters whom we can see (1 Jn 4:20).
Take steps to foster unity in the church.
Ex: When we have conflicts or disagreements with a fellow brother or sister, sometimes arguments may break out, harsh words may be used, and people will feel hurt or offended.
Talk it through when both parties are calm and speak with gentleness (Prov 15:1). Try to be understanding and empathetic; do not be quick to accuse, blame, or jump to conclusions. Seek reconciliation and be willing to forgive as Christ did.
Important principles to keep in mind:
Be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger (Jas 1:19-20).
