  • Examine our relationships.
    • In different seasons of our lives, we will take on different roles.
      • Ex: We all begin as our parents’ child. Later, we may get married and become a husband or wife. If we have children, we become parents ourselves.
      • Ex: We may start as a student; later, we graduate and enter the workforce as an employee. We may later become an employer.
  • Use Scripture as a mirror.
    • Bible character examples:
      • Husband/wife: Abraham & Sarah; Priscilla & Aquila
      • Parent/child: Eli & his sons; Lois, Eunice & Timothy; Jesus & His parents
      • Master/servant: Joseph & Potiphar/Pharaoh; Boaz & his workers
